The Olooseos Treat.

Olooseos Adventures and Resort is located on the scenic foothills of the Ngong Hills. About 40 kilometres from the CBD, Corner Baridi, off Magadi Road.
The journey to the Resort was exciting especially going there, we found ourselves packed in an organised manner in a probox which is the main trasport to there
It was less than a 30 min drive from Kiserian town and we found ourselves at Korner Baridi, the stage to get to Olooseos Resort.
The rough road leading to the resort gave us a nostalgic feeling of being the rural area. Quiet with the occasional breaks of the birds chirping away, The air was so crisp and clean our lungs caught all it could.
The Resort had a welcoming vibe the sun was just setting, the birds singing their last songs and we settled in our tents ready for the night bonfire and star gazing.
Morning light came soon enough and we awoke to the sights n sounds of Ngong hills, our breakfast was freshly done and sweet if i may add.
Soon later we were off to visit the land and see its beauty.  By evening light we had enough and off we packed our bags heading back to the city.

Miss Nembu Girls Beauty Pageant 2015.

On the 4th of July afternoon Nembu Girls High School was a buzz of activity. It was their cultural day and the beauty pageant. On this day a new Miss Nembu would be crowned.
This event would not be possible if not for the  " I Am Beautiful and I Know It Campaign " by MakeUp by Rose.
"I Am Beautiful and I Know It Campaign" seeks to inspire, motivate, uplift  young girls from as early as the age of 13 years. Mentoring the feeble spirits that one should love themselves just the way they are. The campaign was launched to instill self esteem , self love within the girl--child, in today's society where morals seem to be slowing vanishing with the overload of the western trends which at times seek to lure young minds that they are not perfectly made.
It's Aim is "To show every girl/woman their worth, Your beautiful just the way you are".
The premises was with high energy as the participants show cased themselves to a panel of judges and the rest of the school as well. With temporary lapses between the pageant other skills would be show cased as well. sending thrills through out the place.
Finally the Miss Nembu was crowned and the event came to an exciting end with Miss Avril Nyabura a popular icon in the country and the youth especially performing. Avril who is now the spokesperson of the campaign gave a heartwarming performance and motivational talks in between. Inspiring the youth the "the sky is not the limit go beyond the sky" these were among the wise words that she spoke to the youth.
